February 12, 2026- Deadline to register for a Scholarship (registration waiver)
February 20, 2026- Scholarship recipients will be notified.
March 2026 – Estimated Deadline for Sponsors to be included on printed Proceedings, please note that the exact date will be finalized in 2026.
March 12, 2026 – Deadline to register for the Mentorship Program
March/April 2026 – Pre-Conference Mentorship Program kick-off meeting TBA
April 7, 2026 – Deadline to register for the Poster Session

How do I submit an abstract for the SRF Conference?

The Initial Call for Abstracts is now open; to submit a proposal for a workshop, session, or field tour, please fill out this form by Thursday, December 4, 2025. Detailed instructions are posted here.

What are the lodging options for the Conference?

Sheraton Redding Hotel at the Sundial Bridge is where the workshops will be held on April 28 - 29, 2026. Tours will depart from the parking lot for the Redding Civic Auditorium, across the street from the Sheraton. The Civic Auditorium is also where the main Conference venue will be held on April 30 - May 1 ,2026.

The Sheraton Redding Hotel at 820 Sundial Bridge Drive is offering King and Double Queens rooms at a discounted rate of $249 + tax. Here is the group block reservation link. To receive the group discount, you must reserve by Tuesday, March 27, 2026. Please note the nightly parking is $16 per vehicle. The Sheraton is walkable to all Conference venues and nestled in the grounds of Turtle Bay Exploration Park along the Sacramento River.

The Holiday Inn Redding at 1900 Hilltop Drive is offering King and Double Queens rooms at the federal per diem rate of $110 + tax. Here is the group block reservation link. Reservations can also be made by calling the hotel directly at (530) 221-7500 but be sure to note you are attending the 43rd Salmonid Restoration Conference. To receive the group discount, you must reserve by Wednesday, March 28, 2026. Parking and breakfast are complimentary.

Oxford Suites Redding at 1967 Hilltop Drive is offering King rooms (including a sofa bed) at a discounted rate of $120 + tax. Here is the group block reservation link. Reservations can also be made by calling the hotel directly at (530) 221-0100 but be sure to note you are booking under the Salmonid Restoration Federation Group Block. To receive the group discount, you must reserve by Wednesday, March 28, 2026. Parking and breakfast are complimentary. If you are flying to Redding, Oxford Suites also offers a free airport.

How do I apply for the Conference Scholarship?

Thanks to the generous contributions from members and co-sponsors, SRF is able to offer conference scholarship opportunities this year. Scholarships are specifically for underrepresented members of the watershed restoration field, tribal members, students, and rural landowners. Scholarships cover a full registration fee waiver but do not include travel or lodging reimbursements.

To apply for a scholarship, please fill out this form which includes a 200-word explanation of why you would like to attend the SRF Conference, how it would benefit the work / studies you are doing, and how you anticipate applying what you learn.

Please note that you do not need to register in advance to apply for a scholarship, and it is preferred that you do not. If you have any questions, feel free to contact info@calsalmon.org.

In order to allow time for travel planning, scholarship requests are due on Thursday, February 12, 2026 and SRF will be in touch with scholarship recipients by Friday, February 20.

How do I donate to the Conference Scholarship Fund?

You can make a tax deductible donation here to the conference scholarship fund that will enable tribal members, underrepresented fisheries students, and rural landowners to attend the premier salmon restoration conference in California.

Instructions on how to apply for a scholarship will be released in December 2025.

How do I nominate someone for an award?

Please submit 200 words or more to nominate candidates for the illustrious Nat Bingham Memorial Restorationist of the Year Award, the Golden Pipe Award for Innovation, the Lifetime Achievement Award, and the Gordon Becker Memorial River Advocate Award. Please find descriptions on the awards page.

All of these awards will be presented at the 2026 Salmonid Restoration Conference Friday Evening Banquet.

Nominations should be submitted via this form by February 10, 2026.

How do I sign up for the Conference poster session?

Please use the poster session form to register for the 2026 Poster Session that will be Thursday, April 30 at the Redding Civic Auditorium. Please fill out the form by Monday, April 7, 2026. SRF encourages posters, pamphlet distribution, software exhibits, and multimedia (video) presentations. SRF recommends wall posters be no larger than 3' x 4' and be light enough to be supported by blue tape (no tacks or duct tape). There will also be space for free-standing posters for tabletop display like trifold or propped up foam core. SRF can provide a limited number of stands for mounted posters. You must be registered to attend the conference to attend or present at the poster session.

Can I donate to the Silent Auction?

Yes! Please use the Silent Auction Donation Form to tell us about your donation and its value.

What is the conference refund policy?

There will not be refunds for the 2026 Conference but registration fees can be transferred to another person in advance of the conference or registration fees can be deferred to 2026. Exceptions may be made for health-related concerns, especially COVID, and will be refunded after the conference or upon a communicated registration transfer to a coworker.
