Salmonid Restoration Federation (SRF) was awarded a grant from the Rose Foundation For Communities and the Environment for aquaculture research, outreach, and education in Humboldt Bay in 2020 and 2021.
This page will be used to provide resources to the community regarding current aquaculture projects and propsals for the Humboldt Bay Area. Our initial focus will be on the aquaculture facility proposed by Nordic AquaFarms.

Nordic Aquafarms will be holding a town hall/community meeting to discuss their permit applications and recent study results next Thursday,

Specialized studies for the Coastal Development Permit and Special Permit proposal (Case No. PLN-2020-16698) have been prepared and are undergoing peer review. These studies will be distributed when they become available for public review.
Nordic Aquafarms is holding weekly meetings for the Humboldt Bay community to learn more about their proposed project.
