2026 SRF Conference: Early Bird Registration Ends Friday, Agenda Packet Now Available
Conference registration is open for the 43rd Annual Salmonid Restoration Conference that will be held in Redding, California from April 28 - May 1, 2026. All presentations will be in person.
The 2026 Conference Agenda Packet is now available and registration is online. Be sure to register by March 6, 2026 to guarantee an early bird rate before prices increase.

To welcome first-time attendees, students, young professionals, and people from historically underrepresented groups, SRF is continuing our mentorship program. Each Mentee will be matched with one Mentor. Through a series of brief one-on-one meetings before, during, and after the annual conference, Mentors will help Mentees make good use of their time at the conference, provide networking opportunities, share career advice, and perhaps even build lasting connections. Uses of Water: Nexus between Water Quality and Quantity
April 29, 2026
This workshop focuses on the history of establishing beneficial uses to support beneficial uses of water, water quality and fish tissue testing for toxins of concern, database entry and reporting, interpretation of results, the process to develop Total Maximum Daily Loads to reduce toxins and emerging regulatory efforts and development of health advisories. Key topics include; Status of the Bay Delta Plan; Tribal Beneficial Uses; Central Valley Watershed Health; Inclusion of Tribal Protections and Policies in the Bay Delta Plan Update; Tribal Culture Continuance for Subsistence; Data Gathering, Surveys, Sampling and Reporting; and Flows: Nexus Between Water Quality and Quantity. Travel Scholarships and Registration support are available by pre-arrangement for California Tribal leaders and staff participants. Learn more here. The Poster Session will be 7-10 pm on Thursday, April 30, 2026 at Redding Civic Auditorium, the main Conference venue. This annual event is open to all registered conference attendees and is a great venue to network with your peers.

SRF is excited to be returning to the Mendocino Coast for the 28th Annual Coho Confab. This Confab will feature exciting projects on the Mendocino Coast, Navarro River, South Fork Eel and more. Field tour sites will include new large wood projects, water storage, off-channel ponds, riparian restoration, fish passage, and more! Event registration will likely open in May.

Smith River Alliance is seeking a Caretaker for Rock Creek Ranch, a 175-acre property located on the Wild and Scenic South Fork Smith River east of Crescent City. The Caretaker assists with managing and maintaining the facilities and hosting visitors. Demands of the position vary seasonally. Learn more here.
