2026 SRF Conference Registration Now Open
 
Conference registration is now open for the 43rd Annual Salmonid Restoration Conference that will be held in Redding, California from April 28 - May 1, 2026. All presentations will be in person. The 2026 Conference Agenda is posted and registration is online.

Fish Passage Design & Engineering Field School: Tribal Scholarship Available
February 24 - 26, 2026, San Luis Obispo
 
SRF is partnering with California Fish and Wildlife, Michael Love & Associates, and Ross Taylor & Associates to offer a hands-on Fish Passage Design and Engineering workshop in San Luis Obispo on February 24 - 26, 2026. SRF has received funding to support attendance for one CA Tribal Member to this Field School. Please note that scholarships will cover 100% of registration fees but will not provide funds for travel and lodging. To apply, please send a 200-word explanation to lindsay@calsalmon.org by January 16, 2026. Registration for this class has closed outside of this scholarship opportunity.

Featured Conference Workshop: Real Water for Fish: Improving Instream Flows through Water Accounting, Insights, and Advocacy

The goal of this full-day workshop is to promote improved instream flow outcomes through better water accounting, encouraging accountability, and strategic advocacy. The planned agenda will cover a wide-range of topics that are intended to be broadly applicable to many disciplines and roles, including scientists, funders, restoration project developers, advocates, and regulators. Featured Conference Tour: Scott River Tour: Scaling Solutions for Salmon and Community
April 29, 2026
 
This full-day field tour will showcase ongoing restoration efforts within the Scott River Watershed, a major tributary of the Klamath River and a critical stronghold for coho recovery in the Klamath River Basin. The tour will highlight restoration techniques that match the scale and complexity of the challenges. Participants will see first hand how Scott River Watershed Council and its partners are implementing beaver dam analogs (BDAs), constructing floodplains and side channels to reconnect the river with its historic habitat, and acquiring key properties to secure opportunities for long-term recovery.

Thanks to the generous contributions from members and co-sponsors, SRF is able to continue conference scholarship opportunities this year. Scholarships are specifically for underrepresented members of the watershed restoration field, tribal members, students, and rural landowners. If you would like to contribute to the conference scholarship fund, you may do so here.

To apply for a scholarship, please fill out this form which includes a 200-word explanation of why you would like to attend the SRF Conference, how it would benefit the work / studies you are doing, and how you anticipate applying what you learn. There is still time to register as a sponsor of the 43rd Annual Conference. Co-sponsors are recognized in all conference materials, receive complimentary conference passes, and help keep the conference affordable for practitioners. See the co-sponsor appeal letter for information about support levels. Late February 2026 is the expected deadline to be included in printed materials.
