2026 Conference Plenary Session Announced
The 2026 Plenary Session, emceed by Thomas Williams, NOAA Fisheries, and will feature Chief Caleen Sisk of the Winnemem Wintu Tribe; Amy Bowers Cordalis, Yurok Tribe, and recent author of The Water Remembers: My Indigenous Family's Fight to Save a River and a Way of Life. Rachel Johnson, PhD, Central Valley Recovery Leader, Southwest Fisheries Science Center, NOAA Fisheries will give a presentation titled, Listening to the Salmon - Life History Diversity as Our Blueprint for Recovery. And Lenya Quinn-Davidson, Director, UC ANR Fire Network and Director, Women-in-Fire Training Exchange (WTREX) Program will present on Letting Fire Flow: Restoring Ecology, Culture, and Connection. Evening Events at the 2026 SRF Conference
Wednesday, April 29: SRF and Environmental Science Associates are excited to offer the Wednesday Evening Social and reception at the beautiful Turtle Bay Exploration Park. The ticket price grants you evening entrance to the museum, appetizers, and a drink ticket. You can purchase tickets here.
Thursday, April 30: The Poster Session will be 7-10 pm on Thursday, April 30, 2026 at Redding Civic Auditorium. This annual event is open to all registered conference attendees and is a great venue to network with your peers. Poster presenter registration will be open until April 7, 2026.
Friday, May 1: Please join us at the Friday Evening Banquet to celebrate the illustrious Restorationist of the Year Award, the Golden Pipe Award for Innovation, the Lifetime Achievement Award, and the Gordon Becker Memorial River Advocate Award. The Banquet features a gourmet dinner, a fun-filled cabaret, and music by Soul Punch. Buy tickets here.

SRF is hiring a streamflow monitor. If you are interested in a seasonal field position that includes streamflow monitoring tributaries in Southern Humboldt/Northern Mendocino, please apply for the Assistant Streamflow Monitoring Position. There may be an opportunity to grow this position in the off-season to support education, outreach and administrative tasks based out of our office in Eureka.

SRF and the Salmon River Restoration Council are pleased to announce the 11th Spring-Run Chinook Symposium which will be held this summer on the beautiful Salmon River. The symposium will take place in Forks of Salmon on July 23 and 24 in conjunction with the Annual Cooperative Salmon River Spring Chinook & Summer Steelhead Dive. It will feature both presentations and field tours, offering opportunities to learn more about spring Chinook research and recovery efforts in the Klamath Basin, and view restoration projects in a spring Chinook stronghold. SRF is excited to be returning to the Mendocino Coast for the 28th Annual Coho Confab. This Confab will feature exciting projects on the Mendocino Coast, Navarro River, South Fork Eel and more. Field tour sites will include new large wood projects, water storage, off-channel ponds, riparian restoration, fish passage, and more! Event registration will likely open in May.
