Salmonid Restoration Federation

2026 Grant Development Training for CA Tribes

01 September 2026 - 30 January 2027
Salmonid Restoration Federation (SRF) and the California Indian Environmental Alliance (CIEA) are offering a six-month grant development training program for California tribal members and staff. Seasoned instructors include Tim Hoone, Community Development Director for the Tolowa Dee-ni’ Nation, and Lyn Craig, a grants consultant and former grant writer for the Nez Perce Tribe.  This course is being offered as part of the California North Coast Tribal Capacity and Climate Resilience Project, which is funded by the NOAA Fisheries Office of Habitat Conservation, Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, and Inflation Reduction Act.

Due to the breadth of information to be shared, the training course will be held in 2-hour sessions twice per month over a six-month period starting in September 2026. The first session will be held in person, and subsequent sessions will be held via Zoom.

Please complete this interest form by June 30, 2026.

Please note that registration will be limited to 35 people. SRF will contact those who complete the interest form to participate in a Zoom orientation in July, followed by registration information and an in-depth training survey, so the instructors can tailor the course based on expressed interest.
