With a changing climate and large dam removal and restoration projects happening across the state, we propose to review some of the major species impacted positively and negatively in light of these aforementioned factors. From salmon recovery in a post Klamath Dam era, the resurgence of Coho salmon along the Mendocino coast and the struggle of southern Steelhead, there are other native fish who can benefit from these projects and would like to highlight how these stocks are doing in the water today. Pacific lamprey have been documented further south near Santa Barbara and will these populations persist or are they transient in nature.
