2026 Grant Development Training for CA Tribes
01 September 2026 - 28 February 2027
Salmonid Restoration Federation (SRF) and the California Indian Environmental Alliance (CIEA) are offering a six-month grant development training program for California tribal members and staff. Seasoned instructors include Tim Hoone, Community Development Director for the Tolowa Dee-ni’ Nation, and Lyn Craig, a grants consultant and former grant writer for the Nez Perce Tribe. This course is being offered as part of the California North Coast Tribal Capacity and Climate Resilience Project, which is funded by the NOAA Fisheries Office of Habitat Conservation, Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, and Inflation Reduction Act.
Due to the breadth of information to be shared, the training course will be held in 2-hour sessions twice per month over a six-month period starting in October 2026. Sessions will be held via Zoom and will tentatively culminate with an in-person meeting in late winter 2027.
