Coho Confab August 24-26

Salmonid Restoration Federation is offering the 20th Annual Coho Confab in the scenic Mattole river valley in Humboldt County, from August 24-26. 

One day registration is $75 and three-day registration is $150. Fees include camping, food, and workshops.

The Confab is watershed symposium that highlights restoration techniques and strategies to recover coho salmon. This event will feature field tours of existing and planned restoration projects including heliwood placement and off-channel slough restoration in the Mattole estuary, coastal prairie fuels reduction efforts, beaver dam analogues and groundwater recharge projects in the Mattole headwaters, and Salt River restoration work in the Eel River estuary. Workshops will focus on coho salmon recovery strategies and land and water stewardship tools for rural landowners.
