13th Annual Coho Confab in the Russian River Watershed
August 13-15, 2010
SRF, Trees Foundation, Gold Ridge Resource Conservation District, Westminster Woods, and the Occidental Arts and Ecology Center will host the 13th Annual Coho Confab at Westminster Woods http://www.westminsterwoods.org/
Field tours will include water conservation, catchment, and restoration projects at OAEC, a Gold Ridge RCD tour of their dam removal at Camp Meeker and Large Woody Debris projects, a tour of Austin Creek and the Russian River estuary, the Captive Broodstock program, and Dry Creek vineyards practicing fish-friendly viticultural methods. South Coast Fish Passage Field School with Mike Love & Associates
November 16-18, San Luis Obispo, CA
This “hands on” workshop is intended to guide design engineers, hydrologists, biologists, and environmental planners through the design and implementation process. Short lectures will be supplemented with group design exercises, case studies of recently completed projects, and a day-long field trip to visit on-the-ground projects. The workshop will emphasize a multidisciplinary approach for achieving passage of fish and other aquatic species. To see the curriculum click here.
