When do the field tours depart and from where?
All of the field tours depart from the Wells Fargo Center for
the Arts located at 50 Mark West Springs Road on the north end
of Santa Rosa. If you are going on a field tour please arrive
early so you can pack a lunch and be ready to depart at 9am. The
Bioengineering tour #4 and the Dutchbill watershed tour # 7 have
requested to begin at 8:30 am. Tours will return by 5 pm. Please
come prepared with a water bottle, rain gear and hiking boots.
How can I apply for a scholarship or work-trade position
at the conference?
SRF has limited of scholarship and work trade opportunities.
Please write a paragraph describing why you would like to attend
the conference and submit it to srf@calsalmon.org.
Work trade positions require 10 volunteer hours for SRF members
and 12 hours for non-members. Both scholarships and work trade
positions only cover the conference fees and Proceedings. Field
tours, workshops, and the banquet are separate. All scholarship
and work trade recipients must fill out a registration form and
send it to SRF, PO Box 784, Redway, CA 95560.

How can I get to Santa Rosa?
Airports: There is an airport in Santa Rosa that is serviced
by Horizon Air, a partner of Alaska Airlines. A more economic
option may be flying to the Oakland or San Francisco International
Airports and renting a car or taking a shuttle.
Airport Shuttle Service:
Sonoma County Airport Express (800) 327-2024, www.airportexpressinc.com.
Serves both San Francisco Airport and Oakland Airport $28 one
way, no reservations required. Stops in Santa Rosa include Sonoma
Airport and Days Inn – Santa Rosa. Please refer to webpage
for schedule details.
Driving Directions to the Arts Center: On US
101, take the River Road exit and head west (go right if on 101
North, left if on 101 South) to Mark West Springs Road . Turn
right into the Wells Fargo Center for the Arts' main entrance.
Each day shuttle service will be provided between the Fountain
Grove Inn and the Wells Fargo Arts Center.
Bussing It: Greyhound from SF to SR round trip
travels once per day: leaves San Francisco at 3:35pm arrives Santa
Rosa 5:20pm, departs Santa Rosa 3:15pm arrives San Francisco 5:20pm.

If I don’t bring a car, how will I be able to get
around Santa Rosa and to the conference?
There will be morning and evening shuttles from the Fountain
Grove host hotel to the Wells Fargo Center for the Arts.

Should I sign up for field tours and the Banquet in advance
or can I decide at the conference?
Space is limited for the field tours and the Cabaret and Banquet.
SRF expects that the banquet and field tours to sell out. We strongly
advise advance registration to ensure that you can go on a field
tour and attend the banquet. The Banquet includes a wild salmon
dinner, organic wine, local beer, the awards ceremony, a Cabaret,
and a dance with the amazing Latin dance band Sambada!
How can I nominate someone for an award?
SRF Presents Awards for Outstanding Achievements in the Salmonid
Restoration Field. If you would like to nominate someone for the
Restorationist of the Year award, the Lifetime Achievement award
or the Golden Pipe award for innovations in the restoration field,
please email srf@calsalmon.org 200 words describing the nominees
by February 10, 2007.
Can I sell merchandise at the 2006 Conference?
Tabling at the Poster Session is free as long as groups are not
selling merchandise. Due to limited space, there is no tabling
opportunity outside of the poster session which is scheduled for
Friday, March 9 from 7 to 10pm to sell merchandise. To sell merchandise
groups are required to pay 25$ tabling fee or donate 20% of sales
whichever is more. All products/vendors must be related to salmonids
or habitat restoration.
If I am a presenter, do I need to fill out a registration
form?
Yes, every person attending the conference needs to submit a
registration form. If you are a presenter, please check the presenter
box in the top right hand corner of the form. Presenters will
need to pay a $25 conference processing fee. However, you will
need to pay for workshops, field tours, and the banquet. You can
download a registration form from SRF’s web site at www.calsalmon.org

Will there be wireless capabilities at the host hotel
and at the Wells Fargo Arts Center?
Yes, the Hotel Oceana, Hotel Mar Monte and the Santa Barbara
youth hostel full wireless capabilities. The Vets Hall does not
have wireless capabilities.
If I register for a workshop that is full will I be able
to get a refund?
Yes.
